Gabriele Falciasecca

Gabriele Falciasecca majored in Electronics Engineering at the University of Bologna where, since 1980, he is full professor in Electromagnetism. His teaching activities have reached different subject areas of telecommunications. His main research fields are applied electromagnetism, radio systems (mobile radio, television, wireless, etc.), detecting techniques and radio localization. He is the author of more than 200 scientific publications. He has written books on the historical aspects of telecommunications and documentaries. He has carried out research consultancies for primary industries operating in the telecommunications sector and for FUB and he has been member of Consiglio Superiore delle Telecomunicazioni. He has been director of DEIS, member of the Academic Senate and coordinator of the Board of Department Directors at ALMA MATER Studiorum University of Bologna. Since 2008 he is president of Lepida, after holding the same position at ASTER. Since 1997 he is president of Guglielmo Marconi Foundation.
