Giovanni Corazza

He received the Dr. Ing. Degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 1988 and the Ph.D. Degree

in Telecommunications and Microelectronics Engineering from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Italy) in 1995, with a dissertation on “Code acquisition in code division multiple access systems”.

During the years 1989 and 1990 he worked at the Canadian aerospace company COM DEV (Ontario), as an Advanced Member of Technical Staff, in the microwave and millimeter wave communication systems department.From 1991 to 1998 he worked inside the Department of Electronic Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” as a Researcher.

During 1995 he was a Research Fellow for a four months period at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC – Noordwijk, The Netherlands) of the European Space Agency (ESA), on a fellowship granted by the European Community.

During the summer of 1996 he was a Visiting Scientist at Communications Sciences Institute of the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA).

Since 1998 he is with the Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems of the University of Bologna, as a Full Professor.

He is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of the University of Bologna as well.

He is the President of the Scientific Council of the Fondazione Guglielmo Marconi, and a Member of the Marconi Society Board of Directors.

He founded and chairs the Marconi Institute for Creativity (MIC), 2011.
