Measuring creativity

Given the multi-domain nature of the creativity concept, this complex behavior will be analyzed both within the scientific domain and within the artistic domain. Through the measurement of the neural substrates related to creativity in individuals coming from these two knowledge domains, CREAM has the purpose to identify the cerebral mechanisms at the basis of the creative behavior in the scientific and in the artistic domain.

Moreover, within CREAM a new methodology for the functional and temporal mapping of the brain activity will be developed. This new methodology will allow the measurement, in a totally non-invasive way, of the cerebral activity associated to the creative behaviors and the real time stimulation of some brain activities that the research will show to be central for creativity.

The six main objectives of CREAM
